HEMA（ヘマ）とは

HEMA（ヘマ）は、Historical European Martial Arts（ヒストリカル・ヨーロピアン・マーシャル・アーツ）の略称で、日本語では「西洋剣術」や「中世・近世欧州武術」と訳されます。

かつて騎士や兵士が戦場で用いた剣技を、当時の技法書（マニュアル）に基づき、現代に再現・研究するスポーツ・武術活動を指します。

 

◾️HEMAの主な特徴◾️

• 歴史的再現: 中世から近世（14世紀〜19世紀頃）に書かれた剣術書に基づき、当時の動きを忠実に再現します。
• 多彩な武器: 代表的な「ロングソード（両手剣）」以外にも、レイピア、短剣、盾と剣、槍など多岐にわたる武器を扱います。
• 現代のスポーツ化: 現代では、防具を着用したフルコンタクトの試合や、型（練習）として楽しまれています。コスプレではなく、あくまで「武術・スポーツ」としての側面が強いです。

We are currently running weekly HEMA practice sessions and are looking for new members to join our growing community.

Whether you’re passionate about martial arts, interested in sword fighting, or simply looking for something unique and exciting — this is your chance!

No pressure, no formal instruction — just a fun, collaborative environment where everyone trains together, improves together, and enjoys the process.
